A ceremony to officially name the new cycleway bridge in Athlone in honour of the late Mary O’Rourke will take place next month.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin will be in attendance.
Mary O'Rourke held the position of Leader of the Seanad and led Fianna Fáil in the Seanad between 2002 and 2007, and previously served as Deputy Leader of Fianna Fáil from 1994 to 2002.
