Roger Wallace, Partner Lead for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ said:
The annual CEO retreat is one of the highlights of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year programme. This year’s retreat takes place in Singapore and 90 of Ireland’s leading entrepreneurs are attending, joined by Invest NI and Enterprise Ireland.
Singapore is an incredibly important market in its own right and is also recognised as the gateway to Southeast Asia, a region with a population of over 600 million. As small island trading nations surrounded by much larger countries, both Singapore and Ireland have learned to punch above their weight by fostering a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship and having and open an dynamic trading economy. There is lots that Irish entrepreneurs can learn from the Singaporean pace of change, innovation, and national planning as well from across the wider Southeast Asian markets. I have no doubt that our Singaporean hosts will also learn a great deal from the world class Irish entrepreneurs
The theme for this year’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year ™ programme is ‘The Art of Entrepreneurship’. Artists and Entrepreneurs are both creative and curious. They think differently and are driven by a purpose to introduce innovative ideas and concepts which inspire and challenge. The CEO Retreat is designed to inspire and challenge these leading business minds to look beyond the horizon to discover next level opportunities for their businesses and their communities.”
