Students from a Westmeath secondary school are looking to fundraise €25,000 to compete at the STEM Racing World Championships.
TY students Ruairí Collins and Andrés Leal and 5th year Hammad Mateen from Athlone's Marist College want to fly the flag for Ireland after winning the national title with their entry 'Stellar Racing.'
They also an award for their portfolio, and for having the 'Best Engineered Car'.
Teams build and design their own miniature F1 cars to compete, with this year's Worlds in Singapore being held days before the F1 race in October.
