Plans to turn a Westmeath town into Ireland's first fully green city by 2040 are making progress.
The Ballymore group led by Sean Mulryan unveiled a plan for Athlone over the summer, involving 20,000 new zero-carbon homes and a campus extension for TUS Athlone.
Mr Mulryan has recently held meetings with Westmeath County Council and the Taoiseach to gather support for the vision.
