The planned lounge and outdoor entertainment area are being held up.
A number of objections have been filed with An Bord Pleanala over a planned lounge and outdoor entertainment area for a Laois pub.
Objections include encroaching on right of way, an adverse effect on community character, planning breaches and a lack of public consultation.
Applicant Jack Wallace for Ramsbottom Bar on Main Street in Portlaoise submitted the plans last September.
They also included adding a kitchen to the lounge at the back of the bar, a smoking area and emergency exit route.
Laois County Council approved the work subject to seven conditions on May 1st, with three separate appeals lodged against it.
A decision will be made by An Bord Pleanala by the 29th of September.
