The Laois/Offaly Garda Youth Awards will be held in the Killeshin Hotel this evening.
Eighteen young people are being recognised at the Laois/Offally Garda Youth Awards this evening.
The nominees, aged between 13 and 21 each have contributed to their local community through fundraising and volunteering.
The 5th annual awards will take place in the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise at 6:30pm.
Portlaoise Inspector Jane Ryan says the standard of nominations were very high this year.:
