North Midlands Credit Union is the latest lender to join the Home Energy Upgrade Loan Scheme.
The scheme provides unsecured loans ranging from 5,000 to 75,000, with repayment terms of up to 10 years, with interest rates starting at 4.2%.
Just under 65,000 people are serviced in Mullingar, Castlepollard, Kinnegad, Rochfortbridge, Longford, and Lanesboro Ballyleague in the North Midlands region.
