DCU were winners on the double yesterday evening.
DCU completed a special double success in the Higher Education Ladies Division 1 and Division 6 League Final.
The top tier decider was contested with UL in Stradbally in very difficult conditions and it was the Dublin side who adapted best on the evening.
With Emma Lawlor, Rebecca Reddin, Kate Kenny and Roisin Ennis in their ranks, the team led by Portlaoise ladies boss Stephen Duff capitalised on having the favourable breeze in the second half to run out 2-11 to 1-7 winners at the close of play.
On a night when so many people watched from their cars on the banks at the side of the pitch we would like to thank all supporters, family & friends for travelling from across the country on such a bleak night. @NaomhCiaranLGFA @ClontarfGAAClub @CualaCLG pic.twitter.com/BpvIWlzMAT
