Fernando Alonso has suffered a fractured jaw following a cycling accident in Switzerland.
The Alpine Formula One team have given an update on his health in the last hour.
The two-time F-1 champion underwent an operation and will be kept for observation for 48 hours.
The team says he is expected to be fit in time to take part in pre-season testing.
