The ex-Westmeath boss is over the Leinster team trialing the new rules this weekend.
Leinster manager, and the recently departed Westmeath manager, Dessie Dolan has endorsed the new Gaelic Football rules which will be trialled at Croke Park this weekend.
Jim Gavin's Football Review Committee have introduced initiatives such as 4 points for a goal, 2 points for a point when scored outside the 40 metre arc, the retention of 3 players per side in the opposing half at all times and a solo and go when a player is fouled.
Dolan says the adjustments will improve the quality of the game:
Leinster face Connacht in Croke park on Friday at 6pm, with Munster facing Ulster at the same venue from 8pm.
A third/fourth place play-off takes place on Saturday at 4.30pm, with the final throwing in at 7.30pm that evening.
