Laois Hurling Manager Tommy Fitzgerald says his side can't afford any more slip ups for the remaider of the season.
He watched as his side secured their second win of the Joe McDonagh Cup campaign, as they defeated Westmeath by 5-28 to 2-19 in Cusack Park on Saturday.
Top scorers for Laois were Aaron Dunphy with 1-10, Picky Maher ended with 1-4 and Ben Conroy scored 1-5, meanwhile Westmeath's main contributors were David Williams and Eoin Keyes with 0-4 each.
The win moves Laois onto four points and in a positive position to reach this season's Joe McDonagh decider.
