Lowry And McIlroy Head Into Second Zurich Classic Round After Shooting 64

The defending champions will have to shoot a low score today to remain in contention.

Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry have work to do in the defence of their Zurich Classic of New Orleans title.

The Irish pair carded 64 in their opening fourball yesterday to sit on eight-under-par, which leaves them six shots off the lead.

Kevin Velo, and Isaiah Salinda shot a remarkable 58 to top the standings after day one.

McIlroy and Lowry go in the second round this evening, shortly before 7pm Irish time.
