It has been 250 years since the foundation stone of the house was laid.
An historic midlands estate will be throwing open its gates to the public this weekend.
Families and foodies from across the region will be able to enjoy live music, artisanal and local food, and children's activities at Abbeyleix House in Laois on Saturday.
All of the money raised from ticket sales is set to go to midlands charities with My Lovely Horse Rescue, the Abbeyleix and District Lions Club, and a community initiative in support of two Portlaoise girls participating in the Wheelchair Soccer World Cup.
This year's Annual Family Day commemorates 250 years since the foundation stone of Abbeyleix House.
