Research was carried out with people aged 60 to 81.
A new study has found playing puzzle games on your phone can help reduce memory loss in later life.
The research involving people aged 60 to 81, who enjoyed crosswords or sudoku puzzles, found they had the same working memory as younger people, aged 18 to 30, who didn't play puzzles.
However, the Times London reports, the study at the University of York concluded more research is needed as older adults with good working memories are more likely to play digital puzzle games.
