At the peak of Storm Debi this morning, over 8,000 homes in the region lost power.
Around 80 thousand homes, farms and businesses are without power, as Storm Debi sweeps through the country.
Over 4,000 homes in the midlands remain without power after a Status Red warning earlier today.
Bushfield, Moate and Mullingar are the worst affected in the region, but faults have also been reported in Clara, Edenderry, Garrycastle and Lumcloon.
The whole country is now under a Status Yellow Wind and Rain warning.
