The contract is for a period of one year.
Up to 60 asylum seekers are due to be accommodated in a former Westmeath nursing home.
The International Protection Applicants due to be housed in the former Stella Maris facility in Baylough, Athlone.
The nursing home closed its doors in August, 2022, and an 18-month building ban on the facility ended at the beginning of March.
20 spaces will be made available in five bedrooms immediately, with the remaining 40 spaces coming on stream by the end of next month.
It's understood the accommodation will be for families of International Protection Applicants.
It's uncertain how long the asylum seekers will be staying at the site, however a contract has been agreed with the State for a period of one year.
There'll be 24/7 security staff in place, and cameras installed.
