€194,000 euro worth of drugs has been seized at Portlaoise Mail Centre.
About 9.1 kilograms of herbal cannabis was discovered in two parcels, declared as 'computer parts', orginating from the United States and destined for addresses in North Dublin.
A further 600 grams of herbal cannabis was found, with the assistance of Revenue Detector Dog Sam, in a parcel from Spain, destined for Belfast.
Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.
