Nearly half of the flags erected ahead of a midlands pride festival have been torn down.
The Mullingar Pride parade kicks off on Saturday at 3.30pm, and 15 of the 33 flags put up before-hand were ripped down on Wednesday afternoon.
Chairperson Daniel Boyne says the mood is 'different' compared to last year's festivities, and they've been targeted on social media on numerous occassions.
But, Daniel says while it's 'disheartening,' they're not going to be down about it:
