They want the local leisure centre to remain open to the public.
Over 300 people have gathered in Portlaoise, to protest against the closure of the local leisure centre.
The community is hitting out at Laois County Council - which owns the facility - for letting it close.
The board has cited financial difficulty during covid-19 as the reason for shutting its doors.
This morning, protestors are marching from the leisure complex to the county council buildings.
