A third party appeal is being lodged against the homes on the Athboy Road, Castledowndevlin.
An appeal against plans for the construction of over 20 new homes in Westmeath has been lodged.
Approved by Westmeath County Council five weeks ago, the scheme allowed for 21 three-and four-bedroom homes in six terraced blocks on a near two-acre site at Athboy Road, Castledowndevlin.
The Kelly family who are local residents lodged a third-party appeal with An Coimisiún Pleanála.
The family objects on the grounds that the development’s design, mix and layout breach the Westmeath County Development Plan and that no additional notices were published regarding the further information.
A final decision is now not expected until June 8th.
