Today marks two years since the Offaly school teacher was killed while out for a run.
Around 70 people have gathered in Tullamore to remember Ashling Murphy on her second anniversary.
A commemoration walk is taking place along the banks of the grand canal up to her memorial shrine.
The 23 year old Offaly school teacher was killed while out for a run on this day in 2022.
Ashling's family thanked all of those who attended, saying "it's marvelous to have the support of everyone".
