There aren't enough resources for people in the country with drug issues.
That's according to Treasurer of Athlone Drug Awareness group, Jim Henson, following an independent review by The National Drug Strategy.
The report from Grant Thornton shows that alcohol remains Ireland's largest drug problem by far, with 73% of the population currently consume alcohol compared with 7.3% using any illegal drugs.
The report also discusses allegations of uneven reporting from all treatment providers, which makes it more difficult to evaluate the efficacy of the approach is.
