Gardaí say it happened on O'Connell Street around 20 past midnight.
A youth in his late teens, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, and has since been released.
Multiple casualties were taken to the Midlands Hospital in Tullamore, though gardaí say their injuries are non-life-threatening.
