Over 1,500 have been waiting for over a year and a half.
There are almost 30,000 outpatients waiting for an appointment in the midlands regional hospitals.
Of that figure, 1,530 have been waiting for over 18 months.
Tullamore Hospital has the highest number on their outpatient waiting lists, with just under 13,000.
Following that is Mullingar, at more than 10,000 and in Portlaoise there are just over 5,400.
Nationally, close to 600,000 outpatients are currently waiting on an appointment, with 82,664 of those being children.
