27 objections have been lodged against the plans.
A decision is due tomorrow on a contentious new biogas facility for Offaly.
The anaerobic digester - which is designed to produce renewable energy and organic fertiliser - is set to be built on a two hectare site in Ballyduff, Tullamore.
However, the plans have received 27 objections from members of the public, with their concerns including an increase in road traffic, the plant omitting odours and attracting rodents to the area.
The developer - Strategic Power Limited - previously stated they had full confidence in the plans, with the gas produced in fully sealed tanks and injected immediately into Ireland's gas network, with no odour in the open air.
