Local property tax has been reevaluated, meaning extra funds in that income for county councils.
€1.2 million in extra funding is going to Midlands county councils after the housing department announced local property tax revaluation.
€500,000 is going to Westmeath, while €400,000 will be provided to Laois and Offaly is set to receive €300,000.
Each authority will see an increase in local property tax income in line with the expected increase in tax take in their area.
A total of over €85 million is being provided to councils across the country.
