€4.5m Going To Midlands Suckler Farmers

It's part of the Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme.

Just over €4.5 million is going to suckler farmers in the Midlands.

Payments for year three of the Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme have begun with €47 million being dispersed nationwide to improve the environmental sustainability of the national herd.

1,141 beef farmers in the Midlands are set to benefit - with just under €1.8 million going to Westmeath, €1.4 million to Laois, and €1.3 million to Offaly.
