Gardaí and emergency services responded to a two vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 1:35pm on the N4 in the Ballynacaragy area.
A man aged in his 50s and a woman aged in her 60s were taken to Regional Hospital Mullingar, with non-life threatening injuries sustained as a result of this incident.
There are reports of heavy traffic and local diversions are currently in place.
