The European Commission is being urged to meet with staff affected by the impending closure of a manufacturing plant in Offaly.
Cardinal Health last week announced plans to consolidate its Tullamore operations to other facilities by 2026, with a phased closure beginning next April.
Midlands North West Independent Ireland MEP, Ciarán Mullooly, believes the affected staff will be eligible for the EU Globalisation Fund, which provides re-training and tutoring.
He says he's going to contact the European Commission, to meet union reps:
