An extension to Portlaoise Regional Hospital is expected to be completed in 2022.
Construction on the €5.5 million respiratory assessment unit next to the Emergency Department will get underway later this year.
Upgrades to the mortuary and an extension to the laboratory facilities are also ongoing.
