They're appearing in court today.
Four people have been arrested in relation to major cash seizure in Laois last month.
Two women, aged in their 30s and 40s, and two men in their 20s and 30s, have been charged as part of a money laundering investigation.
Gardaí previously arrested two women and seized a large sum of cash during an operation in Laois on Monday 6th April 2020.
Shortly after 2pm, gardaí stopped a car on the M7 motorway (southbound) and recovered €50,000 in cash. The occupants of the car, two women aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested at the scene.
Both were brought to Portlaoise Garda Station and detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, on suspicion of money laundering.
The operation involved Laois based Divisional Roads Policing and local Garda Units.
All four are due to appear before Portlaoise District Court this morning.
