It's a collaboration between An Garda Síochána and Iarnród Éireann.
Up to 50 gardaí are supporting transport staff around the country this afternoon in an effort to combat anti-social behaviour.
It's the first of a series of days that officers will be on-board DART, LUAS and commuter rail services in Dublin.
There will also be community engagement stands at a number of regional train stations, including Galway and Sligo.
It comes as Gardaí had to remove an abusive passenger from a train in Tullamore on Wednesday.
