The blaze broke out shortly after midnight last night.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a fire in Laois last night.
The blaze broke out at a home in St. Brigid's Place in Portlaoise at around 12.30am.
Three people were escorted out of the building but no injuries have been reported.
The front of the building was damaged in the incident, specifically the front door.
Local fire services attended the scene and the blaze was brought under control and extinguished quickly.
