One driver had clocked 120 km/h in an 80 km/h zone in Westmeath's Walderstown zone.
630 drivers have been caught speeding during the first 24 hours of a Garda bank holiday road safety campaign.
The operation began yesterday morning, and officers have so far arrested 24 people found to be driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
One driver was detected doing 120 kilometres per hour in an 80 zone at Walderstown in Westmeath, while another was doing 76km/h in a 50km/h zone on the R402 Edenderry, Offaly.
The operation continues until Tuesday.
