Gardaí are investigating an incident which involved an armed, masked individual apparently trying to break into a woman's home in the Midlands.
The incident took place at around 5.45pm on Tuesday on the Killeshin Road in Graiguecullen.
The Irish Independent is reporting an intruder was seen entering a family garden with a knife and was preparing to enter a home where a woman was home alone.
Other family members arrived on the scene and the person fled on foot.
Gardaí are asking anyone who may have CCTV or doorbell footage to contact them.
