Operations at the facility are due to cease on June 1st.
The government is facing calls to ensure workers at a midlands briquette factory, which is due to close, are paid the same amount when they are redeployed.
Laois Offaly TD Barry Cowen also wants to see expenses undertaken by new travel times for employees at the Derrinlough Briquette Factory to be recognised by the State.
Operations at the facility are due to cease on the 1st of June, and decommissioning will take place in the following months.
The closure is part of Bord na Mona's transition to a climate solutions company, they had previously committed to ending peat harvesting in 2021.
62 employees will be effected by the move, and the company say they are working with them on redeployment and retraining throughout the business.
