The Ballany Water Treatment Plant remains intermittently affected by the impact of Storm Bert.
A large number of Westmeath homes are currently under water restrictions as Irish Water continue to struggle to maintain resevoir levels in the county.
People living in Castlepollard, Delvin, Whitehall, Fore, Collinstown, Glenidan, Hilltown, Clonnageeragh, Sallymount, Coole, Brownstown, Clonmellon and the surrounding areas may experience outages or reduced pressure and/or discolouration.
The nighttime restriction began at 8pm, and will be in place until 7am, to allow local reservoir levels recharge.
Uisce Eireann is asking those affected for their patience as they continue to work to correct the resevoir shortage:
“We understand how disruptive these ongoing outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. Crews are continuing to work to restore normal water supply across North Westmeath”.
The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
