There were 145 adults homeless in the midlands last month.
The Housing Minister says he can't say when the number of people in emergency accommodation will start to fall.
There was a record number of people homeless in June, at 12,600, with latest figures due on Friday.
Between April and June, the homeless population increased by 25%.
145 adults in the midlands were homeless last month.
It's the same figure as those recorded in May, and remains the highest ever in the region.
209 people in the region were without permanent accommodation in June, 64 of which were children.
Westmeath accounts for the most homeless adults in the midlands, at 61.
That's followed closely by Offaly with 60, and then there's a substantial drop before you get to Laois' figure of 24.
