HSE Branded A "Disgrace" For Leaving Disability Services Understaffed

Springfield Centre in Mullingar has yet to re-open its doors, with therapists being redeployed into covid roles.

A Westmeath mother says the HSE is a disgrace for redeploying therapists during the covid crisis and leaving disability services understaffed.

Linda Davis' 18 month old daughter Grace - who has Down Syndrome - hasn't had a face-to-face appointment with a therapist in the last nine months.

Highly-trained speech & language, occupational, and physio therapists are being used as contact tracers and covid testers. 

The Castlepollard woman says Longford-Westmeath Down Syndrome is fundraising online to provide essential therapies for children who are missing vital developmental goals:
