Nationally, new car registrations have soared by 16%.
Car sales in the midlands continue to rise on an annual basis, according to the latest data from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.
However Laois, Offaly, and Westmeath are behind the national average increase for new car registrations for 2023.
Nationally, just over 121,000 new car registrations represents a jump of 16% on last year.
In Laois, new registrations were up 10%, in Offaly that increase is 8%, just under 8% in Westmeath.
