Today marks a year since pubs were closed, with the country's two vintners' associations launching a hashtag Not Disposable campaign to raise awareness.
Liam Gilleran from Gilleran's Pub in Mullingar says in other EU states, banks are offering moratoriums to struggling publicans - but no such support is offered here.
He says people are desperate for a return to some normality:
