Commuters in Laois and Offaly may still meet delays this morning after Irish Rail experienced significant disruption to some of their train services.
The issues have since been resolved, but the company is advising there may be some knock on effects to their timetable for the rest of the morning.
Bus transfers were in place between Tullamore and Portarlington station, between Westport and Athlone.
It's due to issues with their track machines overnight.

Irish Rail is advising passengers of "significant disruption" on some of their train services.
Bus transfers are in place between Tullamore and Portarlington station in both directions, and are also in place between Westport and Athlone for the Mayo/Galway routes.
It's due to mechanical faults on two on track machines overnight, with the machines now stopped on the line.
The transfers will be in place both ways until further notice.
