RTE, along with public broadcasters in the Netherlands, Slovenia and Spain are pulling out because Israel is being allowed take part.
It's thought other countries may follow suit.
Spain is the sole representative of the big five consisting of France, Germany, Italy and the UK to announce their intention of not participating.
