It Can't Go on - Laois TD Hits Out At Assessment Of Needs Waiting Lists

Close to a thousand children in Laois and Offaly are waiting an average of two years.

A Laois TD is warning the current situation around assessments of need for children in Laois and Offaly is at boiling point.

Fine Gael's Willie Aird says he received HSE confirmation through a letter that almost 900 children in Laois-Offaly are still waiting on an AON with an average wait time of almost 2 years.

He also noted outsourcing assessments to private providers did not seem to be reducing that time
