Events are taking place in Portlaoise and Portarlington this weekend.
Solidarity events to raise funds for the emergency in Gaza are taking place in Laois this weekend.
The Laois Palestine Solidarity Group is meeting at Laois County Council plaza in Portlaoise at 1pm tomorrow for a community rally.
The 'Gig For Gaza' event will see local musicians perform at The Anvil Inn in Portarlington on Sunday from 3pm - 10pm, to raise funds for mobile maternity units.
There is an estimated 50,000 pregnant women in Gaza and 130 babies born everyday in tents as they cannot access hospitals.
15% of those births result in complications that require urgent medical care.
The maternity units will provide prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care to pregnant women in the region.
