A motorist has been arrested in Laois after trying to evade gardaí.
The Laois Roads Policing Unit pursued the driver who did a u-turn in the Mountrath area yesterday morning.
When stopped, it was discovered the motorist had already been disqualified 14 times.
The vehicle was seized and the driver charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court.
