A Laois pupil is taking home an award from the Intel Mini Scientist competition for the second year running.
6th class student at Timahoe National School Tomás Ramsbottom is the winner of this years Innovation Award for his project on a shock free training collar.
He was inspired to do the project after seeing a pet insurance ad on TV and by his Cockapoo dog Penny.
He won the competition last year alongside classmate and cousin Emma Burke with a wireless pacemaker project inspired by his own one.
