Vernon the lurcher has donated blood to UCD Vet Hospital multiple times after his accident.
A Laois dog is being praised for saving lives in UCD Veterinary Hospital.
Vernon is a five year old lurcher who was taken in by Laois SPCA after defending another dog from being attacked.
Since making a full recovery, he's been able to help other sick dogs in emergency situations through becoming a universal canine blood donor.
