A steel company in Laois is receiving Ireland’s first-ever top sustainability score.
Midland Steel Group, based in Portlaoise, has been awarded 3 Stars under the Sustainable Constructional Steel certification, which is the highest rating available.
The CARES SCS certification examines the environmental and social responsibility practices across the steel supply chain.
The company also successfully preserved its ‘Very Good’ rating in accordance with BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing standards.
