Laois is falling short on the basics for primary care and required GPs - that's the view of Laois TD Brian Stanley.
The Independent rep is asking Taoiseach Michael Martin to address the progress of ongoing primary care projects in the county.
These projects include a Primary Care Centre for Portlaoise, new centres for Mountrath and Rathdowney and upgrades for Borris in Ossory and Graiguecullen.
The Taoiseach said he would check with the Health Minister and the HSE on updates to the Portlaoise project, saying he realised the town had become an "important centre of population."
